Paracel brought together over 400 young people at the “Health That Unites Us” festival in Concepción.
Paracel brought together over 400 young people from various districts in the Concepción department for the “Health That Unites Us 2026” Youth Festival. The initiative focused on promoting sexual health among adolescents and young adults, specifically by raising awareness about Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), an effective tool for HIV prevention.
The event was held at the María Auxiliadora Sports Center and included participants from Concepción, Loreto, Paso Barreto, Paso Horqueta, San Alfredo, and Sargento José Félix López. Throughout the day, attendees took part in learning, awareness, and recreational activities, visited themed booths, accessed counseling services, enjoyed food from local entrepreneurs, and watched artistic and cultural performances.
The festival was part of the “Health That Unites Us” campaign, driven by Paracel in partnership with the Paraguayan Red Cross and in coordination with the First Health Region and PRONASIDA. Through sessions led by health professionals, participants learned about how PrEP works, its benefits, and how to access it, encouraging informed decisions regarding their health.
In addition to content on sexual health and PrEP, the program included awareness sessions on mental health and suicide prevention, as well as opportunities to explore youth entrepreneurship and volunteering, fostering an exchange of knowledge and experiences among participants.
With this initiative, Paracel reaffirms its commitment to promoting health, education, and sustainable development by providing reliable information, services, and opportunities that contribute to the well-being of young people and strengthen their active participation in building healthier, more inclusive, and resilient communities.
