Paracel, in partnership with MAPA Abriendo Caminos, promotes “Apollo’s Travels: The Concepción Cerrado”
Paracel, in partnership with MAPA Abriendo Caminos, has launched a new edition of the children's magazine *Los Viajes de Apolo*, dedicated to the Cerrado of Concepción. This initiative is part of the company's ongoing efforts to promote awareness and appreciation of the country's natural heritage, creating opportunities for children and families to learn more about their local ecosystems and understand their importance for sustainable development.
The new issue of *Los Viajes de Apolo* invites readers to explore the Cerrado of Concepción, considered one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on the planet. Through stories, illustrations, experiments, games, and activities, the magazine provides an educational look at concepts related to biodiversity, landscapes, native species, and the communities that live alongside this ecosystem.
The publication was developed with technical input from Paracel and MAPA professionals, as well as experts in the field, and incorporates knowledge gained from the research, conservation, and environmental education initiatives promoted by the company in its area of influence.
Catalina Bautista, editor of *Los Viajes de Apolo*, noted, "We are thrilled to bring young readers and their families a magazine that highlights the value, beauty, and importance of this ecosystem we have in our country. This publication was enriched by the contributions of Paracel, its technical team, and the collaborators who shared their knowledge and experience with a younger audience."
As part of the initiative, more than 100 children recently participated in the "Concepción Explorers" program and the creation of a collaborative mural titled *The Cerrado: Diversity and Natural Wealth*—experiences that helped deepen their understanding of this ecosystem and encourage its conservation.
Through this project, Paracel reaffirms its commitment to protecting biodiversity and building a development model that integrates natural resource conservation with production through responsible forest management.
