What is the Forest Development Program?
The Paracel Forest Development Program was created with the objective of increasing the availability of wood in Paraguay and offering local producers a sustainable economic alternative.
This program encourages producers in our area of influence to integrate forest production into their activities, generating additional income and contributing to the environmental and social sustainability of the region.
Planting System
Growers can choose between two planting systems:
Forestal Neto
The entire surface is dedicated exclusively to forest plantations.
Silvopastoril
It combines livestock and afforestation, promoting the diversification of activities and minimizing risks associated with climate changes or pests.

Paracel does not have this service. However, there are forest credits produced by development agencies that are disbursed through commercial plaza banks.
There are two types of contract: The first is called Standing Wood, where Paracel is responsible for harvesting and transporting wood from the property of the person or institution participating in the Program to the industrial plant. And the Factory Setup modality, where the person or institution participating in the Program is responsible for harvesting and transporting the wood without bark, to the Paracel industrial plant.
Yes, the minimum planting area is 500 hectares concentrated on a single site.
MODALITY: STANDING WOOD Current price of wood is US$ 18 /m³, with bark, with annual correction based on American inflation.MODALITY: DELIVERED TO THE FACTORY/PARACEL Current price of wood of US$ 45 /m³, without bark, with annual correction based on American inflation.
Once the pre-harvest inventory has been carried out in case of hiring Standing Wood or receiving the wood at the industrial plant. In the case of contracting Factory-Placed Wood, payment is made as agreed in the contract.
Interested individuals, organizations or institutions must adapt their business to the principles and criteria of forest management certification, which guarantee that forest management is ecologically appropriate, socially just and economically viable, in compliance with all applicable laws. Paracel will guide and follow up on this process.
Clones of eucalyptus species previously designated by the Paracel technical team will be used.

A. At Paracel, we guarantee the price per cubic meter, which will be adjusted at harvest time according to the consumer price index that reflects year-on-year inflation as published by the US Central Bank in its inflation reports.

Forest Development focuses on income generation and the diversification of the activities of producers, producers, institutions or organizations, making their economy more viable through the planting of eucalyptus trees in the systems that best suit them, such as the Silvopastoral System and the Net Forest System, complementing the traditional activities of the region and at the same time guaranteeing the existence of raw materials for the industry.
The catchment area is 200 km from the factory, located in the Zapatero Cué district of Paso Horqueta, about 30 km from the city of Concepción. This area encompasses the departments of Concepción, San Pedro and Amambay.
