Paracel presented the advances of the heritage inventory at the Villa Real Museum in Concepción
In a joint initiative to preserve and value the Cultural Heritage of the department of Concepción, Paracel presented this Wednesday the progress of the inventory of museum pieces in the Municipal Museum of the Barracks of the Villa Real de Concepción.
The presentation was addressed to members of the Government and the Municipality of Concepción.
The event was attended by specialists in Cultural Heritage management and representatives of Paracel. During the day, the efforts made to document, evaluate and preserve the 444 elements that are part of the museum's collection, including showcases, central pieces and elements located on the walls, were highlighted.
Among the objects surveyed, historical pieces such as a trumpet by the Pa'í Pérez Band, used during the Chaco War, and Madame Lynch's cart stand out. These pieces are undergoing a thorough technical analysis to ensure their preventive conservation and enhancement.
The team in charge of the project, composed of technicians and specialists in textiles and local history, also carried out a photographic survey and a detailed evaluation of the state of conservation of each piece. This work seeks to consolidate the museum as a cultural and historical reference in the region.
During the presentation, the authorities highlighted the importance of the inventory as a fundamental tool for safeguarding the cultural legacy of Concepción and promoting its dissemination among future generations. In addition, the continuity of the program was announced with actions aimed at improving the museum's infrastructure and expanding its educational and cultural offer.
