The official opening ceremony was held for the expansion of offices and improvements in the child care spaces of the Comprehensive HIV Care Service (SAI) of the Concepción Regional Hospital. This work was funded and promoted by Paracel, within the framework of the Community Health and Safety Program, which seeks to sensitize communities in the area of influence about sex education, family planning and HIV/AIDS prevention through workshops, delivery of supplies, application of tests and links with the local health system.
The investment, which amounts to Gs. 132,439,000 (USD 17,200), will strengthen the SAI infrastructure, which currently serves 592 people, with the objective of doubling its capacity and ensuring adequate service.
The event was attended by health authorities, representatives of the Regional Hospital, PRONASIDA, the SAI team, as well as the Paraguayan Red Cross, the Vencer Foundation and Paracel managers. During the ceremony, the importance of articulated work between institutions to improve access to health and the quality of care was highlighted.
The improvements include air-conditioned offices, a room adapted for child care, expansion and optimization of areas with new electrical, sanitary and accessibility facilities, as well as the adaptation of the waiting room.
The event culminated with the opening ribbon cutting and a tour of the renovated facilities, reaffirming the alliance between the public and private sectors and social organizations to strengthen comprehensive HIV care in Concepción.
This project reaffirms Paracel's commitment to community well-being, public health and the continuous improvement of care conditions in the region, contributing to sustainable development and people's quality of life.
