Paracel promotes tourism development in Paso Horqueta with the inauguration of its renovated Municipal Beach

This Tuesday, September 9th, the official inauguration of the new works implemented on Paso Horqueta beach took place, an initiative that is part of the Relationship with Communities and Social Investment program promoted by Paracel.

The event was attended by local authorities, representatives of Paracel and the National Secretariat of Tourism (SENATUR), as well as members of the community. The opening was given by Mayor Cynthia Cabañas, followed by the words of Latifi Chelala, Director of Communication and Social Sustainability at Paracel, who presented the scope of the social program that seeks to strengthen community infrastructure in areas of influence of the company.

The works executed include:

• Inclusive pedestrian accesses connected to an esplanade.

• Land profiling and construction of masonry benches.

• Rehabilitation of the canteen and toilets.

• Installation of children's recreational areas with stainless steel slides and sandboxes.

• Signage and access sign.

These improvements were made through a participatory process with the community, with the objective of offering a more accessible, safe and attractive space for the enjoyment of all people. The initiative seeks to promote sustainable tourism and strengthen social integration, with a total investment of USD 65,000.

During the event, a specific agreement was signed between the Municipality of Paso Horqueta and Paracel, formalizing the joint commitment to continue promoting local tourism development.

With this action, Paracel reaffirms its commitment to local development, promoting a more inclusive and participatory model that promotes the responsible use of natural resources.
